::::Platschi, you need visa for tajikistan and special permits for Gorno-Badakhshan - these you can get in [[Duschanbe]], but as somebody told me who traveled there with a caravan, it can last some days to get the special permit in duschanbe, but seems to be possible....Mr Tweek is wrong, the interesting part is Uzbekistan - Tajikistan and partly northern Afghanistan. A Border crossing in Ikestam to Afghanistan seems to be open. From there you can get to the Wakhan Corridor, which must be one of the most interesting and remotest areas in the world - so remote that even taliban seems not to go there. if you go, please take a local guide. ::::: recently I gave to mr.tweek link to one german guy I travelled with in Tajikistan in this autumn. Goetz said he had made all visas in Brussels - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Permits to Badakhshan you cant get with visa after writing special petition, they will put special stamp in your passport. also permit costs 15 somoni~4USD in Dushanbe
