north-west towards kranj

the information for North-west towards Kranj is not useful at all, no bus/tram/whatever information on how to get to that on-ramp. Rather difficult, maybe a rewriting needed (what was the template for it ?) --Platschi 21:17, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

This will take some time, as this spot probably no longer exists after the major reconstruction that was done in this area, including the newly built tunnel which connects the ring road together - this is of course not good for hitchhikers. Next time i'm around LJ i will check for a nice spot. Maybe, if the Avtostopproject will succeed, there will be a spot designed especially for hitchhiking. --Liorvol

Check. All I remember is that I was walking along some big road (maybe the ring road you mention?), passed a bridge over the highway towards Maribor, and after a while got a ride towards Kranj at a bus stop. Will search that spot later on googlemaps. Hm, also there was a bus going....maybe 1 and 18? But I could be confused with Sofia, now.....grml. Where are the Slovenians here ;-) ? --Platschi 10:38, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

There are two good points from where you can go from Ljubljana to Kranj. They are located relatively near each other. First: take the bus number 1 and exit at station Šentvid, there you can stand on the bus station and catch a ride towards Kranj and Austria, the Celovška cesta turns towards the highway there and you have a good chance to catch someone there, its the best option if you want to go farther than Kranj. If you want to go to city of Kranj then take take the bus number 1 and get out at the last station (one station after Šentvid). cross the Celovška cesta (road) there you will see a Hitchhiking sign just after the traffic light, you will also see restaurant "Jelen" right next to the Hitchhiking place.
