liftershalte.info is pretty cool! We should try to create links back and forth from this wiki to there :)

Also, it might be super cool to integrate this with position of possible "instant" couches of CS and HC members. GuakaTalkCS 03:31, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

This liftershalte.info is really good. I have been trying yesterday to add some locations with the help of Wiki Mapia (See Barcelona and this location) but one map only with liftershaltes and ratings connected with this wiki, now that would be excellent! Robino 10:31, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Yes I would be really happy If we could link our pages somehow, but as I said, It's not finished yet. There are some important features missing, so please don't link the page yet. I will let you know when it's time ;) --MrTweek 11:11, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Alright, now all the features neccessary for using it are implemented. You can now set direct links to a location (See Montpellier. In the topline, there is a link named 'link here'. I always points to your view (like in google maps), so you can use it to copy links to the wiki. I also added direct links to this wiki for every country. I hope this is ok. --MrTweek 11:57, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Really cool! I like it a lot!
Right now the link to the Hitchhiking Wiki is opened in a tab of the tiny window. Maybe there's a way to avoid that. GuakaTalkCS 12:49, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, i guess that's some browser-specific behaviour. Which browser do you use? I use Opera and it opens a new tab in the main window. I'm not sure If I can influence your browser behaviour. ---MrTweek 12:58, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
I think a good idea to add to it would be "Don't hitch here" points, rather than just a point being rated as bad. Maybe an X or something to get the point across, because on a few occassions (Gent is a good example) I thought I had found the obvious hitching spot only to walk down the onramp for 30 minutes and then realizing that there was nowhere to stop and having to go somewhere else after walking all the way back.
That what the rating 'senseless' was intended to. I will also change the icons of the hitchpoints depending on the rating soon. --MrTweek 03:11, 24 November 2006 (CET)
That's a good idea. There's just some places that you walk to for a long time only to realize that it's impossible.
