Talk:Hitchhiking in movies

I've seen The Hitcher (2007) last weekend and I liked this movie. Yes, I can imagine it frightened some people to take hitchhikers (people have weird ways of thinking!), though the movie itself was pretty hilarous, exiting, also weird (so probably a lot of people liked this movie). --Fverhart 10:47, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

I also added Und nachstes Jahr am Balaton (GDR(DDR), 1980), a film from former East-Germany, and I imagine that hitchhiking was very common and part of daily life (outside the cities) then. --Fverhart 10:47, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Not positive

Having just seen Into the wild (2007) for the first time, I cannot agree that this film puts a positive light on hitchhiking. Superfically everything seems to be allright, but I'm also able to draw the conclusion that the free and naive wanderlust of this hitchhiker leads to death. And there is nothing positive about it. --Fverhart (talk) 01:06, 12 October 2013 (CEST)
