::Hm, how many ''gestures'' are there? I guess not more than maybe 4 or 5. ::: In Autostop polski we can find more than ten gestures of both drivers and hitchers; for hitchers: thumb, waving with full hand, stratching the arm and pointing with pointer finger and moving pointer and middle finger up and down, showing several fingers (which tells number of hh-ers, useful with big numbers of hitchers as there were in the golden years), middle finger, indicator finger pointing down (command to stop, i'm using it as well but it's pretty ineffective ;) and several ways to offend drivers, for drivers there are two fingers for too short distance, waving, pointing to the roof (there you can sit), pointing down (already near destination), pointing left or right (soon turning off), spreading open hands (can't take hh-ers, full car), making circle with finger (staying nearby), middle fingers and tjing-tjing (pay!). In my case the thumb sometimes changes into an open hand showing something like "okay, go ahead!" And then there are night hitchhiking gestures. --[[User:Fverhart|Fverhart]] 17:50, 28 August 2008 (CEST)

Which formula you prefere:
1. Gesture -> countries/regions where it is ok/not acceptable
or
2. Continent -> Country (-> Region if necessary) : ok gests/not acceptable gest

In my opinion, 2 makes much more sense. --MrTweek 14:54, 28 August 2008 (CEST)
