: Hmm, good question. We don't have a policy about that. Any opinions? We have quite some hostels listed in other articles... but do we need that? I mean, hostelworld and similar sites are much better to find good hostels, and they also have ratings and stuff. Removing all (regular) hostels would be fine for me. We can still keep information about squats, nomadbases, etc. --[[User:MrTweek|MrTweek]] 16:05, 11 October 2010 (CEST)

:: In my opinion we should leave out paid stuff for sleeping. information about camping/good spots near hitchhiking spots to hide at night/near gas stations is useful, but anything else starting with accomodation of people should be left out. there's enough other places for this, from hospex-networks to hostels to motels and hotels along the road, if needed. though, information about nomadbases available in cities could be nice, though where to draw a line here between what's good/useful/related to hitchwiki and what not? --[[User:Platschi|Platschi]] 16:15, 11 October 2010 (CEST)

:: Yes, unless it's a very very special hostel it shouldn't be in here.  So if there's a cheap place with excellent hitchhiking opportunities it would be okay for me, anything else is not really our desired in here.  E.g. I'd love to know about 10$/night places right next to real borders where people have to stop :)  or a an especially cheap place (less than 50% of average hostel rate in a city) with a decent atmosphere. Somebody added very general information about David to the Panama page: look. I moved it here now, but I'm afraid that it's only advertising for the hostel. Is there a policy for linking to commercial accommodation? Shall we remove the link? --Kb 15:43, 11 October 2010 (CEST)
