there is no Tibet SAR according to "The United Nations Statistics Division".Do not miss leading others ,OK?-- Mipplor

Tibet was illegally occupied by the Chines in 1950. Do not delete it because you happen to support your utterly despicable undemocratic government, first open a Talk page about the issue. I have reverted your changes. Prino 21:08, 11 December 2010 (CET)
Tibet pay its allegiance to the central government in 1247 during the Yuan Dynasty and never been an independent regime anymore.Until 1913 the 13th Dalai Lama announced the independence of Tibet ,However, no independent state has recognised the Dalai Lama's state as an independent country.in my humpble option you may be prejudiced by first impressions that everything opposite to PRC`s done is right .cuz it is a autocratic regime . thx! Mipplor

Let's avoid politics on Hitchwiki and follow Wikipedia. There I find http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tibet_Autonomous_Region which doesn't contain the word "Special". guaka 01:07, 12 December 2010 (CET)

I'm afraid the action by Mipplor, a probably privileged Chinese citizen, of removing Tibet without first instigating a discussion about its presence in the list of Asian countries/regions already makes a very unwelcome political statement. Prino 11:35, 12 December 2010 (CET)
I have told you what has happened to Tibet in history in short as above .thx to another kind of brain washing you got your pre-judgement and its bullshit from a "privileged Chinese citizen" from big brothers` system. Not qualified for your given title!- Mipplor

Drama detected! Chinese government should run plebiscite and ask locals about their willing to be under Chinese government. That's all. Siberian explorer 18:13, 12 December 2010 (CET):

Come on, guys, are you serious? Can we just leave out historic or political debates here and stick to what's hitchhiking-related? We always kind of had a consent here to stick to the definitions from Wikipedia or the UN instead of trying to find our own political view. According to Wikipedia, Tibet is not a special administrative region, but one of 5 autonomous regions of China. Either we list them all, or none of them. But as we don't list the regions for any country, I'd say, remove them. That's what I'll do now. --MrTweek 18:33, 12 December 2010 (CET)
No, I don't think we can or should. China forbids us to hitchhike in Tibet. If Tibet is just a normal part of China, why would there be such a restriction? As to Hong Kong and Macao, they are (in some ways) probably comparable to Guernsey, Jersey, or some of the former Dutch Antilles, and have special political status. They should most definitely be listed separately.
Also, given my critique on Mipplor, you might want to read this, Elgan: How spammers will poison your social graph, especially the paragraph that contains ... One of the best known is the Chinese government's so-called 50 Cent Army, which involves thousands of people paid to post pro-Chinese Communist Party opinions on message boards and social media sites inside China and around the world. ...
