Hey, looks very nice now the highway article! But one thing, why are the German service stations linked to their relevant German hitchwiki articles? Might be more useful to start resp. English articles to have folks not understanding German getting information out of it. --Platschi 16:07, 7 October 2011 (CEST)

I have a problem with the multi-languagism of this wiki. Many articles don't have so much information, that I need them in all twelve relevant languages and I don't like to write them in all these languages. I would like it more to have a plain wiki, with chapters in the different languages if there is a need. --GeorgDerReisende 20:55, 7 October 2011 (CEST)

One wiki with all languages both has advantages as well as disadvantages. Most wiki communities seem to have chosen the separate wiki approach though (e.g. all Wikimedia projects except the Commons, and Wikitravel) - so we went that way as well on Hitchwiki.
We could consider moving everything into one wiki but the transition would be pretty hard. Nevertheless, if you're really serious about trying to make this happen, start a page about it... With an overview of pros, cons, the work required, and then a vote.
Another thing to do would be to extend the multilingual coordination page - let people add requests for translations and such. Let's see... guaka 15:12, 8 October 2011 (CEST)
I started Hitchwiki:Requests_for_translations - please add articles and possibly yourself :) guaka 15:19, 8 October 2011 (CEST)
