A far better place is in Njurunda ("Njurundabommen") but it is located 17 km outside the city center. In Njurunda there is a petrol station just after a speed-camera which ensures that the cars drive slowly and there is plenty of space for them to stop.
'''AlternativlyAlternatively''' you may want to tjeck check out the parking lot by the "inre hamnen" (one minute walk from the centralstationcentral station),usually there is are a few trucks parked,taking a break at every time I was there,and it should be possible to find a ride to both south and north.Across the small road from here,there is a Shell gas petrol station and they throw away plenty of sandwiches,sweets and other food;the dumpster is in the back and you may need to jump over wooden fence to get in.
