Hitching
To hitch south out of Bristol, you have to get to Junction 19 M5 (by foot 9 km or bus 357 or 359, £5) and wait up to 2 hours to go South to Exeter, Plymouth.
On M5 in Somerset, Sedgemoor services and Taunton Deane services are less of a wait (30 mins North or South) and slightly better than the next Junction 30, Exeter Services.
Junctions at Weston, Bridgwater and Taunton are not so good for lifts on the motorway.
