Samtredia is a town in Georgia.

Samtredia is notable for being the crossroads between two major routes in the Caucasus. One is the S2 east-west route from Tbilisi, Azerbaijan and Armenia to Poti on the Black Sea coast, Abkhasia and Svaneti. From Samtredia, another major route, the S12, proceeds south through Kobuleti and Batumi and then into Turkey.

The intersection of these routes is south of the town centre where the east-west road passes over railroad tracks. You can hitchhike here directly at any turn of the intersection.

In Autumn 2010, most of the S12 route is closed for repairs. To go south, turn after Sajavakho onto the national road proceeding through Ozurgeti and Kobuleti.
