Saba is an island in the Caribbean. It's part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, but not of the EU. It was formally part of the Netherlands Antilles until formally becoming integrated as part of the Netherlands in 2010.

It's easy to get a lift as most drivers will stop, depending on where you are and the time of day, traffic may be thin. Taxis may give you a lift but make certain it's said that you're hitch hiking as they will pretend it was on the job otherwise.

There is a fast ferry from Saint Martin (French side) and Sint Maarten (Dutch side) to Saba.

Hitching onto boats: Wait for dinghies to dock in Tent Bay and approach the captains there, some may also dock at Ladder Bay and climb up the steep steps but most of the year it's too dangerous and will flip dinghies over.
