'''Pippa Bacca ''' was an experienced hitch-hiking artist from Italy. Dressed up as a bride she was on a trip with her friend to promote world-peace and to show that trusting strangers increases peace. Pippa went missing on the 31th of March of 2008 after she had left [[Istanbul]]. Her body was found dead in a forest near the town of [[Gebze]] in [[Turkey]], just 30-40 kilometers from Istanbul. Reports mention she was the victim of sexual or [[gender violence]]. Pippa's real name was Giuseppina Pasqualino di Marineo. She was 33 years old.

The trip was an artistic expression of peace. The two women were hitch-hiking to [[Jerusalem]] to promote the message of peace. They also aimed at increasing peace by spreading the idea of trusting random locals.
