The Pamir highway leads from the city of Osh, Kyrgyztan, through Tajikistan (Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province, Khorugh, Dushanbe), via the eastern part of Uzbekistan, to Mazari Sharif in northern Afghanistan.
