To get out of Oxford towards London or Birmingham the easiest way to to get bus number 280 (leaves outside the railway station) to the service station on the M40 motorway, this costs about 2 pounds.

To Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester

If you want to head to Portsmouth, Southampton or Winchester, try going to the Botley junction with the A34. From the same junction the A420 goes towards Swindon & Bristol. Bus no.4 (Botley).
