Hitchhiking out

Going to Copenhagen

From the centre, one can go with buses 21, 22, 121 or 122 in the direction of Højby. There's a stop before a McDonald's in the south of the city. A hundred meters or so past the McDonald's and to the left there is the entry ramp for the motorway to Copenhagen.

Maybe most effective would be to stand right after the roundabout before the McDonalds. There's a good place for the cars to stop and since it's close to the roundabout the cars drive pretty slow. Also people going to the McDonalds will enter and exit to the McDonalds using the roundabout. There is, however, also plenty of space on the hard shoulder on the entry ramp for cars to stop.

Going to Jutland or Copenhagen

From the city centre go with bus number 29 to Hjallese, to the end station. It will be very close to the largest roundabout in Denmark, with possibilities of going both to Jutland and Copenhagen. There is a shoulder on the entry ramp, in both directions, so there will be plenty of space to stop and you'll also stand quite safely.

Go with bus 51 or 153 from Odense Banegård Center (The central train station) to the stop Vestre Boulevard. Walk further in the direction of the bus until you come to the motorway. From here big trucks from the industrial area nearby and people who work in Odense and lives in Jutland, should be able to take you west.

Internet access

At the train station there is a library where they have computers with free internet access. There's a sign saying "use for max 15 minutes" or something like that. But the nobody really cares for how long you sit there.
