From the centre, one can go with buses 21, 22, 121 or 122 in the direction of Højby. There's a stop before a McD's in the south of the city. A hundred meters or so past the McD's and to the left there is the entry ramp for the motorway to Copenhagen.

'''Towards Jutland''' Once you're at McDonald's, find the on-ramp on your right side which gives access to the highway (E20) towards "Kolding". Kolding is a city already in Jutland.

Maybe most effective would be to stand right after the roundabout before the McD's. There's a good place for the cars to stop and since it's close to the roundabout the cars drive pretty slow. Also people going to the McD's will enter and exit to the McD's using the roundabout. There is, however, also plenty of space on the hard shoulder on the entry ramp for cars to stop.

'''Towards Copenhagen''' Once you're at McDonald's, cross the bridge over the highway (E20) and then you'll see the on the on-ramp towards Copenhagen on your left side (in the signs you'll read Copenhagen in Danish, which is "København").

Going west towards Jutland, you can also use the above spot, following the same procedure (of course you'll have to position yourself at the entry ramp for cars heading west.)

From the city centre go with bus number 29 to Hjallese, to the end station. It will be very close to the largest roundabout in Denmark, with possibilities of going both to Jutland and Copenhagen. There is a shoulder on the entry ramp, in both directions, so there will be plenty of space to stop and you'll also stand quite safely.

Go with bus 51 or 153 from Odense Banegård Center (The central train station) to the stop Vestre Boulevard. Walk further in the direction of the bus until you come to the motorway. From here big trucks from the industrial area nearby and people who work in Odense and lives in Jutland, should be able to take you west.

Odense is a city on the island of Fyn in Denmark. It's the third largest city in Denmark, known primarily for being the birth town of Hans Christian Andersen.

Hitchhiking out

Going towards East or West

From Odense going towards either west or east, local hitchhikers mostly use the on-ramps of a same road junction that brings the trafic from/to the highway E20. To get to that road junction, check Google Maps for directions or options of public transportations to "McDonald's 5260". You can generally take buses from Odense central station with destination "Hjallese" or "Højby" (buses 21, 22 or 23) and ask to get off at the McDonald's by the highway (there will be only one McDonald's on your way).

Hitchhiking spots near the McDonald's of the highway E20 from Odense towards Jutland or Copenhagen

Towards Jutland Once you're at McDonald's, find the on-ramp on your right side which gives access to the highway (E20) towards "Kolding". Kolding is a city already in Jutland.

Towards Copenhagen Once you're at McDonald's, cross the bridge over the highway (E20) and then you'll see the on the on-ramp towards Copenhagen on your left side (in the signs you'll read Copenhagen in Danish, which is "København").

Internet access

At the train station there is a library where they have computers with free internet access. There's a sign saying "use for max 15 minutes" or something like that. But the nobody really cares for how long you sit there.
