There are a lot of technical "toys", that can help you to make hitchhiking easier, safer or just collect informations and statistics about your trips.

Same to the Apps you might want to use as your navigation software. You could use the built in software that usually requires data or you could get a free app and download the apps in advanced.

I have been travelling for years and fortunately during the first days I found this great map. And I am still using it always when I go anywhere by hitchhiking.
