'''Louvain-laLa-Neuve''' is a little small [[Belgium|Belgian]] city between [[sitting an half hour south-east of Brussels]] and [[Namur]], on the E411 motorway. It was build to house the Université Catholique de Louvain after the luingistic quarrels in the 60's. There are about 11.000 inhabitants and 20.000 students. The tiny city-center is all pedestrian. If you stay during the week (exept during the summer holidays) you might take part to the incredible student-parties all night long. One beer cost around 0.80€ in the "cercles" (students pubs).

Louvain== Hitchhiking out ===== North-la-Neuve is West towards [[Brussels]] / South towards [[Namur]], [[Luxembourg]], France ===From the city center walk all the way up to the roundabout of the shopping center "Esplanade" (about 10 min). While walking along the Boulevard de Wallonie, you'll see a petrol station, but you better walk a town build around little longer and stand on the Université Catholique de Louvainroundabout behind the sign "E411 Bruxelles". There are around 15It is '''the''' perfect enlightened spot to go either north or south (road splits a little further).000 peoples who lives there and around 20You may definitely meet other hitchhikers.000 who studies. The city-center is only made for pedestrians.  If you are traveling south, and you don't want to stay during the week (exept during in Namur but rather keep going south, ask the holidays) driver to drop you will discover at the incredible student-partiesroundabout of Namur centre exit. == Hitchhiking out ==There are a lot of possible destinations from LouvainSouth-la-Neuve (e.g. : [[Brussel]], [[Namur]] and [[Luxembourg]] by E411 motorway, West towards [[Mons]], [[Paris]] via Nivelle by RN25 motorway). There are two main hitchhike spot in LLN: the first is on ===Stand at the beginning of the RN25 and the second, on the "Esplanade"(15-cross-point20 min walk). The spot is not that great, to go on the E411 motorway.but you should be fine with a sign !

To go south towards Luxembourg and Namur, please stand behind the signposts at the "Esplanade"-cross-point and try to attract cars passing in the TWO car lanes beside you. Up the road, there is a big petrol station (around 20 KM). This is the last one on the road before the city of Namur. === Sleeping ===It's also possible to sleep in a hostel. Hostels/Hotels: There is a inn near the city-center , <!-- link is dead: which is called [http://www.relais.ucl.ac.be/ --> "Le relais"]. Or just ask to some partying students ... You can always walk 20 min and find some bush to sleep in outside the city.
