Lapland (Finnish Lappi) is one of the regions of Finland.
Because of the tourists, it's also slightly more expensive than southern Finland. Lapland is also reachable by trains or busses.
Hitchhiking
Only 184 000 people live in this area, so it's not too much of cars and roads. Lapland is very popular among tourists for it's beautifull nature and ski resorts. More north you go, less cars you have.
