Kyiv (Київ) ((Russian: Киев (Kiev), German: Kiew), is the capital of Ukraine. Kyiv is a very big city, however it has a very efficient metro (underground) system, especially if you're hitching west or east.
Hitching out
North towards Kharkiv
Get the metro to Boryspolska station (Rus: БОРИСПОЛЬСКАЯ, Ukr: БОРИСПIЛЬСЬКА) (the last one on the green line). From here there is a huge roundabout - walk around the outside of the roundabout until you see the turn off to Kharkiv (Ukr: XAPKIB, Rus: ХАРЬКОВ). West towards Rivne, Lviv, (M06)
Take the metro to Zhytomyrska (ЖИТОМИРСЬКА) station, from there you need to walk some kilometers. Attention: Girls be careful, in the evening there are prostitutes working, so tell to the driver that you are hitchhiking immediately! Cost to get there: 50 kopecks
South towards Odesa (M05)
Get the metro Lybidska (ЛИБІДСЬКА) station, from there take the trolley bus #2 and go till destination stop Kibcentr (КІБЦЕНТР). Cost to get there: 1 metro token + 1 trolleybus token = 1 UAH = 0,20$
