I recommend you to get to the bus Hitchike at buss stop called "Zarzecze Owsiana" of the bus number 653 or 974. You will have to change buses to get there. Use this site to check how the communication works in Katowice: http://rozklady.kzkgop.pl/index.php. It fairly easy to get a ride from there (just don't accept ride going just to Mikołów).
