On the front page of the French and the German Hitchwiki it now says that there are -1 articles. Is this just temporary? guaka^{site, wikitalk} 20:35, 10 September 2007 (CEST)

It's fixed now, at least in the German version. I think you need at least 1 or 2 articles (excluding main page, templates, user pages, etc) to get this working properly. --MrTweek 21:29, 10 September 2007 (CEST)

Images

It would be great if the same images were usable on all Hitchwikis. Maybe something for the future? It might even be somehow possible to get in touch with Wikimedia Commons, and use that one as our image repository? guaka^{site, wikitalk} 20:35, 10 September 2007 (CEST)

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use completely shared repositories. But you can define one external repository for each wiki. So we could the English one as a global repository, because it has the most images. Would be cool if you could ask the guys from wikimedia commons. Or maybe their repository is already open for third-party wikis? --MrTweek 20:42, 10 September 2007 (CEST)

Alright, I configured that. You can now use images from the local wiki, but also from the wiki. If an image exists in both wikis, the local version will be displayed. --MrTweek 22:47, 10 September 2007 (CEST)

Newsletter

I think it might be a good Idea to send a newsletter to the yahoo-group. Many users probably forgot about hitchwiki but might be more interested to work on a wiki in their language.

I'll start a draft here, feel free to add something.

Well I am new on the Hitchwiki, I would like to contribute my time and energy to assist others who maybe oneday would come to my country sierra Leone.I am a couchsurfing memeber( Id :SAHR).

I would also like to participate with ohers in this forum.
