:I also heard that hitching there is easy. Only thing might be that people sometimes want some payment or sth., don't know exactly. I guess User:TruckThor can tell us about this :) Or read the Romania article. As far as I know a lot of people hitchhike there, same like in Bulgaria (which was a great country for hitching :D ) platschi<small>site, wikitalk</small> 20:55, 15 April 2008 (CEST)

:: People do not ask, but it might sometimes expected as some gesture of friendship. Most people did not even look how much you gave (everybody gives as much as he can afford or finds appreciated), but the good will counts. But this was only our impression, sometimes we did give something, sometimes we did not not (as I get a coffee etc. for the driver in Germany sometimes too). You can also state from the beginning that you are a real hitchhiker and do not want to pay. However, hitchhiking is still quite easy and waiting times short. --Alex 10:00, 16 April 2008 (CEST)

I hope I'm writing in the right place, to make a criticism - I'm very surprised that Bulgaria and Romania are listed together for making your ratings. OK, they are two separate countries, of course. But more importantly I think they are very different for hitching. I live in Bulgaria and would rate it 'very good' (i can leave a comment later.) But I have heard that hitching in Romania is not good at all. Unfortunately i don't have first hand experience in Romania, but anyway I think they deserve to be separate!!

thanks

I like hh in Romania and I found it quite easy (compared to e.g. Hungary and Croatia). --Alex 15:21, 14 April 2008 (CEST)
