Helsinki is the capital of Finland. Most of the foreign hitchhikers inter the country here, either by boat from Tallinn of by plane to the international airport - which is not actually in Helsinki, but in Vantaa.

Helsinki is a nice place and worth staying for a couple of nights. Its a rather small city with about half a million inhabitants and quite relaxed atmosphere.

Applications-office.png This article is a stub. This means that the information available to us is obviously insufficient. In these places little information is available or the description is severely outdated. If you have been there, whether hitchhiking, for travel or as part of an organized tour − be sure to extend this article!

Here´s some info over Helsinki: To find good hitching spots here as well as elsewhere in Finland, go to see Languages are German, English and Russian. You are also most welcome to add new info on those pages.
