Guernsey is an island of the Channel Islands group located offshore France.
The Island of Sark has an independent status inside the Bailiwick of Guernsey, while the island of Herm located just off the coast of Guernsey is part of the State of Guernsey. Guernsey has an independent status organised as a Bailiwick and private property of the British Crown.
