Hitching Out

East or South towards Kassel, Erfurt, Frankfurt am Main

Take bus #140 from Giessen towards Raststätte Reinhardshain. The bus is directly stopping at the gas station along the A5. You are on the right side for going eastwards, Kassel, Erfurt, Berlin. For going south you have to get to the other side of the highway, for that you can use a tunnel for animals (called Rehtunnel in German) or by the motorway underpass.
