A lot of traffic goes into Fresia without going to Emden first and a lot of traffic goes to Netherlands without taking the turn to Emden. Getting to Aurich to hitch hike down Emder Str. is probably better than stopping at Leer or Oldensburg (or anyplace inbetween) to wait for a ride into the city.

Emden is a small city in East Fresia, Germany. German, Low German, and Dutch are the most commonly spoken languages. 3rd busiest seaport in Germany.
