North towards Richards Bay, Swaziland, Mozambique on the N2
Find a local taxi bus to get you to the Total Petroport, next to the Ethekwini Hospital. This is the first petrol station on the N2 freeway just north of Durban. Try to be discreet when approaching drivers, because it's apparently forbidden and the petrol station responsible might kick you out (July 2016). If it happens you can always hitch on the on ramp. The coastal road M4 could be a nice and prettier alternative to reach the N2 towards North.
