Cuzco is a city in Peru.

Hitching out

North-east towards Pisac and Sacred Valley

Take combi called "huerto" (1 Sol) until Tambomachay, which is about 7km out of the city. From there is pretty easy to find a ride direction north. A cheaper alternative is just climbing the road that leads to the ruins of Sacsaywaman and searching for a ride already from there.

Towards Puerto Maldonado

Near the terminal of the bus cross the railway and take a bus to hospital regional. From there you can take a bus to Urcos for 3 soles. In Urcos walk up from the police station and you will get to the road where departs Cisterna trucks for Puerto Maldonado, they will charge you 25 to 30 soles that is cheaper that the bus ride. You will travel on the roof or on the back of the truck so bring with you a sleeping bag cause in the night is quite cold.

Towards Abancay

From Puente Salvador on av. Ejercito, take a bus to Izcuchacha. It costs S/1.50 as of August 2016 (S/2.00 on weekends).
