Be aware the if you go wrong way you are in trouble. The highway is four lane in this place and it's almost impossible to get a ride. There is a map of the area in the train station.
Update 22/10/2017: there is a bit more than 3km walking from Karslunde station. The spot is quite good even if many people go West. We were two people and we wait 1h before getting a ride until the next petrol station (which is after the junction so almost everybody will bring you to Rodby).
