Another option is to take a S-tog E towards Køge and hop off at Ny Ellebjerg. Walk southwest to the junction. At the other side of the crossing is a busstop after witch you can hitch. This is a fairly good spot with room for cars to pull ower.

There are several ways of getting out of FULLPAGENAMEE. Heading west you have the following options:

# Catch either S-tog A, E or F and get off at Ny Ellebjerg station. You can also check rejseplanen for a bus (bus stop Folehaven/Vigerslevvej). Walking west along the road Folehaven you'll see a few traffic lights to slow down the cars and plenty of space for cars to pull over. If you don't have any luck along the road keep walking a few hundred metres and you'll see a petrol station close to the beginning of highway 21. ColAlf experienced that this option is good when heading towards Roskilde or catching a ferry to Jutland from Sj. Odde or Kalundborg (see below).

# If you prefer service stations along the highway catch S-tog E towards Køge get off at Karlslunde station. Get out of the station and turn right, when you reach Mosede Landevej turn right, walk down here to the end then turn right onto Karlslunde Strandvej, walk down here for about 5-10 minutes then turn right onto Karlslunde Mosevej which leads you right to the highway. Then you need to be on the service station on the right side of the road if you are hitching south or west, so cross under the bridge then you go up a little hill to get into the service station. It should take about half an hour to walk from the train station.

# Take the S-tog E towards Køge and hop off at Ølby. Walk down Lyngvej towards the motorway. After a bridge there's a roundabout and the motorway entrance both to south and west. This is the last ramp before the E20/E47 fork. Loads of trucks drive through here because there's a big service station nearby.
 +
# Catch a regional train or the metro M1 and get off at Ørestad station. Walk across the parking area of Field's and you'll find the first on-ramp. Be aware that there are two on-ramps joining each other when heading west - make sure to be on the most busy one.

Another option is a service station on the motorway to get to this take the E S-train in direction Køge get out at Karlslunde station from here you turn out of the station and turn right, when you reach Mosedelandsvej turn right, walk down here to the end then turn right onto Karlslunde Strandvej, walk down here for about 5-10 minutes then turn right onto Karlslundmosevej this leads you right to the motorway, then you need to be on the service station on the right if you are hitching south or west, so cross under the bridge then you go up a little hill to get into the service station. It should take about half an hour to walk from the train station.

 +
Hitching a ferry between Sjælland and Jylland is possible, too, as you don't pay per person but per car on the ferry. Option #1 when heading west is probably the best way for getting a car towards Holbæk and further on to Sj. Odde or Kalundborg. Ferry timetables can be found at Mols-Linien but they run quite frequently.

Copenhagen (Danish: København) is the capital of Denmark.

Hitching Out

East towards Malmö, Sweden

On the road to Malmo, leading to the bridge, you might be able to hitch a ride. Drivers are wary though, and maybe you should try getting a ride with a sign "I don't carry drugs".

Next to this spot, you can also ask drivers at the hypermarket, where a lot of Swedes go shopping before returning home.

West towards Roskilde, Fyn or Jylland

<map lat='55.671389288295465' lng='12.539520263671875' zoom='11' view='0' float='right'/> There are several ways of getting out of Copenhagen. Heading west you have the following options:

 1. Catch either S-tog A, E or F and get off at Ny Ellebjerg station.
 2. If you prefer service stations along the highway catch S-tog E towards Køge get off at Karlslunde station.
 3. Take the S-tog E towards Køge and hop off at Ølby. Walk down Lyngvej towards the motorway. After a bridge there's a roundabout and the motorway entrance both to south and west. This is the last ramp before the E20/E47 fork. Loads of trucks drive through here because there's a big service station nearby.
 4. Catch a regional train or the metro M1 and get off at Ørestad station. Walk across the parking area of Field's and you'll find the first on-ramp. Be aware that there are two on-ramps joining each other when heading west - make sure to be on the most busy one.

South towards Rødby, Germany

Option #2 and #3 mentioned above are recommended if heading south.

Ferry between Sjælland and Jylland

Hitching a ferry between Sjælland and Jylland is possible, too, as you don't pay per person but per car on the ferry. Option #1 when heading west is probably the best way for getting a car towards Holbæk and further on to Sj. Odde or Kalundborg. Ferry timetables can be found at [Mols-Linien] but they run quite frequently.
