Schleswig-Holstein

Schleswig-Holstein is a German Bundesland located in the north of Germany.

To the north it borders to Denmark, in the south to Niedersachsen and Hamburg and in the south-east to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

North

  • To get to Flensburg / Denmark, a nice spot close to the city is on the road B76. Get by the Gottorf Castle. South of it, the main entrance on the B76 from downtown. The Gottorfstrasse is going south, with a small park on its east side. The street Herrenstall going east after this park crosses Gottorfstrasse before the bridge. Take it and then follow the pedestrian/bike trail going along the B76 east. A couple hundred meters later, you've got a roadside parking where you can hitchhike cars going north.
