Hitchhiking out

West towards Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Sofia

There are buses towards the edge of the city. I think they were 10, 12 and 14 but make sure to check. Get off at the 2nd big roundabout with big flags in the middle, where you will see a conveniently located OMV garage. Here you can ask for a lift or stand outside with a sign.

South towards Sozopol, Primorsko, Malko Tarnovo, Turkey

Ask somebody local for directions to the Chataldja/Todor Alexandrov intersection. About 50 meters south of the intersection on Todor Alexandrov boul. (recognisable by the "Созопол 24км" "Sozopol 24km" signs) is the easiest hitch spot I've ever used. There's space for the cars to stop and shady trees. Average time - 5-10 minutes.

Sleeping

It is possible to sleep on the central beach for free.
