I have never taken Also can not take the bus. Instead i've walked walk up Preston Road, passing preston park till you get to a rock garden just before the Shell Petrol station (if you have gone that far that you have waked to far) . its about 10-15 minutes from top end of London road (Preston Circus) - where barclays bank is. Just before the rock garden opposite the park there is a side turning, Hitch just by the traffic lights before this turning. Write "London". I have done this many times - its the magic spot to hitch in Brighton... Never waited more then an hour... (same spot is good for Bristol (write "M25 West" to get to "Cobham Services" or "M25 East" to "Clacket lane services")
