East, South towards Bern, Zürich, Luzern
Take S1 or S3 in the direction of Olten or Laufenburg (both'll do..) at Basel's main train station ("Basel SBB"). Get off at Pratteln and follow the Zehntenstrasse (parallel to the railway tracks) in the direction of the train you took, for quite a short time. Go left at the little steps, which lead to a rooad underneath the tracks, then straight. Turn right at the small BP service station, then continues on the road Hohenrainstrasse. Follow this road for 5 minutes, keep on the left footpath, and you will then see a small commercial area. Turn left onto this street ,Zurlindstrasse, walk down until you reach a green area. Male your way down this until you reach the exit. You will be at the motorway service station Pratteln-Süd. It is open 24 hours a day.

North towards Germany, Freiburg
Take S1 or S3 in the direction of Olten or Laufenburg (both'll do) at Basel's main train station ("Basel SBB"). Get off at Pratteln, and use the side exit in the direction of the industrial zone (Industriegebiet). Follow the Wasenstrasse, parallel to the tracks, in the direction of the train you took. Go left at the Gallenweg, go straight, cross the crossing, onto the Kraftwerkstrasse, follow road, crossing the bridge over the highway. Go right at the Heissgländstrasse, and follow until you find a small passing on the right, which will lead you to the motorway service station Pratteln-Nord.
