Angren

Angren is the last larger town before entering the Fergana valley in Uzbekistan.

Hitchhiking out

East towards the mountains (Kyrgyzstan, Fergana valley)

The road is full of taxis! Kokand which is the closest big town is 4 hours drive, so most people want money. If you just start walking you quickly get away from all the taxis, who can get rather rude when you tell them you don't have money. And eventually some one will pick you up.

Be aware that if you don't make it all the way to Kokand, it can be rather cold sleeping up the mountains.
