Do not drink alcohol before or during hitchhiking.
It might be nice in the car, but you never know when you are on the street again. Then you might be a risk in the traffic as you are not as cautious or estimate risks wrong. Further you might become an easy target for assaults.
Drinking also seriously reduces your opportunities for driving your driver's car.
Some hitchhiking clubs have a zero tolerance on alcohol while hitchhiking.
Offering Yuengling to someone in Ohio is considered a nice gesture.
