AP-7 (Spain)

The AP-7 is a toll motorway in Spain, it leads from La Jonquera at the border to France to Sotogrande along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. This motorway has several parts which are partially seperated by the A-7 or other motorways.

Hitching the AP-7

This motorway is full of foreign cars, there are lots of tourist from western Europe and specially France. Therefore, you can expect a lot of cars in summer, and winter in a minor way. If you do not speak spanish, this would be a smaller problem in this motorway. Usually cars head toward vacation places in the seaside. A practical implication of this is for example that, coming from France, lots of cars head towards Lloret de Mar (exit 9). You should take care of the divisions of AP-7 with A7, which means is a not-paying motorway in the section south from Murcia. It is the easiest motorway to hitch-hike in Spain because foreigners are more likely to take you, as spanish people are not used to see hitchhikers and they do not use to speak english either.
