On the 7th of August 2009 (7/8/9) and as long as a week before, hundreds of hitchhikers hitch-hikers from all over the world will team up to hitchhike hitch-hike to Odesa, Ukraine, for the second europeean hitchhiking European hitch-hiking week !

This project shows that the hitchhiking hitch-hiking community is still very much alivein a century of motorways. Each year thousands of people hitchhike hitch-hike all over the world; and in many countries it is still a common way of getting around. The goal is to suggest that it could be a great human experience to pick up a hitchhikerhitch-hiker, share their your car and exchange stories. Hitchikers The hitch-hikers community wants to promote hitchike like hitch-hike as a way of travelling.

"I love hitchhikinghitch-hiking! It is my favorite means favourite mean of transportation because it is a great way to meet some nice people and exchange stories. It is great to see how helpful people can be. Sometimes they even bring you as far as your front door or they may invite you over for dinner", says Fabrice Renucci, one of the initiators of the whole project.
