Talk:Frankfurt an der Oder

I don't really see, why it hitchhiking out of Frankfurt/Slubice is supposed to be difficult. I hitchhiked a number of times to towards Warsaw, Berlin and further west than Berlin. The gas station towards Berlin is great for asking, you can just stand there by the road as well. From Slubice there is a road with few good spots to stop, before the train station (which is 2-3km out of town), but there are a couple of gas stations as well. Anybody got a different opinion/experiences? --N0id (talk) 12:20, 7 March 2013 (CET)

I agree to your point of view, but I just added the gas station on the motorway a couple of days ago, before it was not mentioned at all. In my opinion it is a good place to hitch, arrived there several times on my way from or to Poznan. Especially towards Poland it is great because the petrol station right at the border crossing is only on the other side. Also tried to hitch inside of Slubice when I was to lazy to walk from the motorway to the center, was no problem. But depends where, from the very end it might be harder, especially for a girl, because there are some prostitutes. Hitching out of Slubice from a gas station was much harder for me, most cars are local from German villages/towns nearby. Worst case scenario was that once I got stuck in the center of Frankfurt and wanted to continue to Poznan in the middle of the night, so I convinced a taxi driver to drive me for only a few Euros to a parking on the motorway. But in total for sure not as difficult as the article makes it appear to be. --dorfdisco (talk) 12:51, 8 March 2013 (CET)
