So if you are not traveling alone, or at most with only one companion, trying to hitch a ride with such a vehicle is of little use. Some vans have a double bench for passengers in front, but except for those, green plates means seating for one passenger only. Even if it is a vehicle that had rear back seats when it left the factory, they will have been removed, for tax reasons, upon importation to Norway. This is done for tax reasons.
