Take public transit down to Burnsville Center then walk south to Crystal Lake Road. Here the two branch interstates of 35E and 35W join back up again and are just interstate 35.
If you want more traffic, further south in [[Lakeville]] is a better bet for people driving longer distances.
Avoid [[Faribault]] if continuing further on south as the on-ramps are mostly devoid of traffic and not really suited for hitchhiking.

You could take the I94 northwest of Minneapolis towards Fargo, but keep to the on-ramps or sign directly for Fargo.
For a more hassle free option, hitch via the local highway #10. Ask busdrivers to get you to the Anoka suburb, then to be let off at the Anoka community college. The #10 runs adjacent, with a road shoulder nearby.
