The '''Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhhorod border crossing''' is a road crossing between [[Slovakia]] and [[Ukraine]] on the E50 road.
Walking across is not allowed, so make sure to hitch a car before crossing. On the Ukrainian side, you can try asking the officer at the first checkpoint to flag down a car for you. If he's reluctant, try giving him a small "gift" (10 5 euros at most).
Long waits are common, especially when entering Slovakia. Be prepared for your bag to be searched and do not exceed the tobacco/alcohol allowance since smuggling is widespread.
