::Well, even hitchwiki is a "small" fish in the word wide web, we should respect historical and political facts given, even if we do or do not agree, and for sure not just to make it less complicated. We could redirect China to the PRC China article, but then should at least state at the top of that article if people are looking for the Republic with the same name, they should visit the Taiwan article. Kind of how they solved it on the English wikipedia with China. --Platschi 12:54, 18 January 2012 (CET)
::: Well, even people from RC China call their country Taiwan and not China. I don't think we'd ignore any historical or political facts. But well, I will do it that way and put a note on top of the article if nobody disagrees in the next days. --MrTweek 13:49, 18 January 2012 (CET)

In this article it's written that girls should take extra care while hitchhiking in China. I strongly disagree, chinese men seem incapable of doing, talking about or thinking perverted things. There has not been a country where I have felt safer, apart from maybe Finland. Even sharing hotel rooms with young, unmarried guys is no problem. Has anybody had different experiences as a female solo hitchhiker in China? If not I suggest we delete the line about that girls should take extra care.
