Crossable rest areas in Germany

The following German [[Raststätte]]s do allow traffic to cross from one side to the other. Note that most of the information was copied verbatim from '''Tanken & Rasten 1997, Zweites Halbjahr''' (the last official booklet of the Tank & Rast organisation), and no attempt was made to verify the current situation!
In Germany passing to the opposite rest area is often, but not always, possible through so-called "service roads". Using these service roads it takes quite often less than 20 minutes to go to the opposite rest area, and almost always the walk can be completed within 45 minutes.

This overview is rather complete (03.2015) for the E30 (A30, A2, A10, A12) and all the motorways north of the E30. For the central and southern part of Germany the overview is not complete.
From [http://maps.rast.de/standorte/rast/fullscreen Rast.de] you can check more details about German Raststättes (eg. if they have wifi or showers).
