Posto Acaray is a big truck stop and you can find here a lift straight to Curitiba or even São Paulo. If you prefer to hitch with cars you'll be better off at the Shell station as in Acaray you won't see too many of them.

If you cross the border on foot you will end up in the Immigration and Customs Terminal located a few kilometres away from the city. It's quite easy to get a lift to the centre on the first speed ramp just at the exit from the terminal.
