There is an [[A1 (Netherlands)|A1]] on-ramp in [[Oldenzaal]]-Zuid. This is around 6 km north of Enschede. You can get there by taking the bus, line #60 or #62 towards Oldenzaal/Denekamp from the central bus station in Enschede. The price is From April 1, 2011, prices get up from 2,50 to 5,50 Eurofor this way, but sometimes paying 2 Euro is enough so considering walking & hitchhiking to the ramp from Enschede might be an option. You might pay less when stating to the bus driver you say you want to get out at ''Hanzepoort'', sometimes it worked paying less than the current city rate.
Get out of the bus at ''Hanzepoort'', cross the street and walk 50m to the right. There you can stand along the [[hard shoulder]] at the [[on-ramp]] up to the Dutch motorway [[A1 (Netherlands)|A1]] (German [[A30 (Germany)|A30]]) towards [[Bad Bentheim]] / Osnabrück. Average waiting time is 7 minutes, most people go to Germany, mostly to [[Nordhorn]] or Bad Bentheim near the border. This ramp is the 2nd last before the German border, try to get to the parking area at the border, there you can find trucks that might go more east towards Osnabrück, [[Hannover]] or [[Berlin]]. If you like going faster, check out the article for the A30, maybe it's better to catch a ride towards the on-ramp Nordhorn/Bentheim and from there getting a ride eastwards much faster.

For hitchhiking towards Münster take bus #1 (costs EUR 12,20) towards ''Wesselerbrink'' and get out at ''TC Tubantia''. There you can already see the motorway in front of you, just walk the 500 meters up to the ramp. Additional, you can also take line #2, for this see the spot below. At this spot the motorway [[A35 (Netherlands)|A35]] begins. For hitchhiking towards Gronau use the space in front of the traffic lights or walk a bit down the ramp.
