Behind Midhems "McDonalds", Malmö
This is a really good spot to get North. Make a sign (McDonald's or Statoil can provide you with needed material). There are traffic lights just before the motorway-sign at the on-ramp with lots space for cars to stop. Take rides past Helsingborg only - then you will get past the motorway knot E4/E6; you can also accept a ride to the rest area at Glumslöv (which comes before Helsingborg). If you go with the second alternative, which probably is the best, you should write "Helsingborg" on the sign. Liftarkungen find it easier to attract rides from the "asphalt island" where the traffic lights are. From there you can establish eye contact and "communicate" with the drivers, especially when they wait for a green signal. Just be careful when you crossing the street, according to a rumour rumor a hitchhiker onces once was deadly hit by a car on this spot.
If you want to go on the E22 you should ask for a lift to Kristianstad.
If you´re going to Lund (or Landskrona) you should write the cityname city name on the sign right away.
Glumslöv-reas area, E6 and E20
West towards Copenhagen and Denmark and South towards Skanör/Falsterbo
Walk on Nobelvägen in the direction of Dalaplan and Mobilia shopping center. When you reach Dalaplan, Nobelvägen changes name to Trelleborgsvägen, but continue until next big cross where Trelleborgsvägen meets Stadiongatan. Just before Stadiongatan there is a big bus stop that is possible to hitch from. On a sunday Sunday afternoon i waited 30 minutes for a lift to denmarkDenmark (sign with DK written on it).I would assume it is possible to hitch to other locations to the north which the highway motorway is connected.
Almost everything exept except alcohol is cheaper in Sweden compared to Denmark, so it could be a good idea to eat before you start your journey to Denmark. Malmö is famous for its cheap and tasty falafels and there is a few restaurants along Nobelvägen. On the opposite side of the crossroad Trelleborgsvägen turns into a real highway motorway (map) and many danish cars passing here. Liftarkungen prefers to stand on the shoulder of the highwaymotorway, right after the stoplights, but there is other alternatives close by. Using a sign is necessery necessary since the highway motorway splits in many different directions.
- A way to get over Öresundsbron to Copenhagen:
Take bus number 5 (eastwards)and get of at the stop Ollebo. Walk left towards the roundabout and stand just after it. Worked within 10 minutes the times iI've tried.
