Khorug

Khorug is a major city in the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan.

Hitchhiking out

Northeast towards Murgab (M41) also west towards Kulob and Dushanbe

There is a Chinese-Tajik cargo terminal 25 km out of town in the direction of Murgab. It is best to ask truck drivers while they load their trucks, as they won't stop to pick hitchhikers up on the road.

Places to visit

There is a Botanic Garden not far from town. Highest one in former USSR.
